It was a huge success! A bunch of people told me how delicious it was and asked me how to make it. At the end of the night there was no more left, I will definitely be making this again!
Day one of the memorial day trifle.
I made the cake, the red dye did turn the chocolate cake a beautiful shade of red that shocked both myself and my mom.
And of course the best part of making a cake, eating the leftover batter!
Tomorrow morning before the party, I dice the cake and layer it with the fruit and cool whip!
Picking up the ingredients to make this tomorrow for a Saturday Memorial Day Party.. It’s a red white and blue trifle.
1. Chocolate cake (with an entire thing of red food dye)
2. Cool Whip
Sounds Delicious. Check out the video from the Food network here
It was a success!!
though next time, I’m going to bake the chicken instead of cooking it in the skillet.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

This looks like a delicious breakfast. Maybe I’ll try it next time my sister comes home for a weekend!
But I don’t know what I should make. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Inside was shredded cheddar and provolone cheese mixed with mustard (it was all I had in my house) and it was delicious.
Next I want to try it with mozzarella and cheddar with plain yogurt or a sour cream mixed in.
This is going to be the first thing I learn how to make this summer. I already know how to make a regular grilled cheese (half of the time, I usually have to make it twice to get it right) but this is a little bit fancier and looks DELICIOUS. So why not give it a try?
I got the recipe from The Petite Kitchenesse
